Gordana Dodig-Crnković

Gordana Dodig-Crnković is Professor in Computer Science at Mälardalen University and Professor in Interaction Design at Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden. She holds PhD degrees in Physics and Computer Science.

Her current research has two foci, the first being in mechanisms of computation and the connection between morphological computation, information and cognition. The second focus is on philosophy of computing that connects conceptual analysis of computational approaches to fields from physics to biology and cognition, to the study of value-based computational design. Dodig-Crnković interest in ethical and value aspects of technology resulted in many years of teaching of ethics for technology students, with special focus on new and emerging technologies, and in series of articles addressing ethical aspects of AI, robotics and autonomous vehicles.
