Wesley Fussner

Wesley Fussner is leader of the Metalogic Group at the Institute of Computer Science of the Czech Academy of Sciences. Prior to coming to Czechia, he received his Ph.D. from the University of Denver in 2018 and has held postdoctoral appointments at Université Côte d’Azur and the University of Bern. He also teaches at Charles University in both the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics.

Fussner’s research sits at the intersection of logic, mathematics, and philosophy, and focuses on  how reasoning varies across different discursive environments. His interests span, among other things, notions of explanation in non-classical logics, topicality and relevance in discourse, and normative aspects of reasoning.
